Good Friday Meditation

GOOD FRIDAY MEDITATION…. It is said, “It is always darkest just before day.” I suppose there is a modicum of truth to this age old maxim; I seem to Always miss the transition, from night weeping to morning joy! But, I am probably not alone in this; as some might in faithfulness and truthfulness attest: Amen!! However, this day we have been granted another opportunity to engage with Christ in crisis of crucifixion; albeit, we’ve slept through the dark night of his trials: as he was taken from judgment hall to judgment hall to the unjustified judgment of death on the cross! Although, morning’s joy will soon transition into mid-day’s sorrow; yet let us gladly suffer with Christ in crisis and crucifixion. Let’s fix our sights on him; let us not look beyond his suffering! So that we might rightly witness seeing that through his sufferings, our sins he did bear for us as they nailed him to the cross at Calvary!!! And so, beloved, let us not dare look beyond this day, at least not until after sunset …

A gracious reminder: In three days, joy will come in the morning; sometime just before the break of daylight!!!. Peace and Blessings Always…
